Beginning in January 1993, Filippone was appointed Senior Vice President of Integrated Health Services where he was charged with new business development. This charge led to a new business model created and funded in January 1994. Community Care of America was formed to provide rural healthcare services in 28 locations throughout the Midwestern United States. The company focused on extended care services to the elderly as well as medical services and physician practice management to the underserved communities. Mr. Filippone joined a seasoned group of healthcare associates in January 2000 and successfully formed separate partnerships designed to conduct business within the senior living industry. The partnerships specialized in the development, financing and management of senior living and retirement properties in 14 states. National Assisted Living Management Corporation was headquartered in Naples, Florida. There, Filippone served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the management group and various partnerships.
